Our project for Lavaderos is a complex one. We took a deep dive into Puebla’s colorful history in order to find the right symbols to create the perfect emblems.
The history of this city, as many others in Mexico, is closely related to the first Spanish religious orders in the country. As such, San Francisco’s church is a vital part of the city’s true essence.
The colonial spirit lives through its representative architecture also found in other buildings like Mercado El Alto. To this day Mercado El Alto functions as a cultural nexus of the city. These two buildings represent Puebla’s beautiful roots and now are central pieces to our work’s coat of arms design for Lavaderos.
