the objective
Lavaderos is part of the Rosewood hotel in Puebla. The whole project is inspired by the traditional, colonial culture of the city. We created a modern brand identity with a traditional sensibility.
the solution
We were able to integrate the more traditional aesthetic of old bottle illustrations and even occult art engravings into a more actual paradigm.
We designed 3 different logos interplaying with each other within different applications. One follows a more seal-like approach, the next one is a clever text lay-design oriented, finishing with a classy cursive display.
Adding to this very non-traditional exercise, the illustrations serve as a direct reference to Los Lavaderos de Almoloya, with an alchemical feel creating a sense of mysterious and intriguing elegance. — (A)
