the objective
Design the first editorial piece showcasing the company’s work through a new communication form, displaying their furniture in a more versatile and easily updatable format.
the solution
For BKT’s editorial design we considered the company’s 15-year work experience by narrating their history and values at the beginning of the book.
We included a poster design with a dieline that morphs into to a brochure making the display more simple and accessible with a summary of the manufacturing process included.
Within the design layout, we used transparency and layer variations, managing to communicate the brand values and interactions with the city through the company’s furniture.
The Brix sans font, which is part of the brand, was incorporated into the book details. We also employed Aeonik for being a geometric sans serif typeface that balances the layout with direct and clean arrangements. This typeface is applied in various hierarchies by varying its weight. The grid maintains a traditional format and is easily appreciable by the reader.
