the objective
Maintaining tradition in a foreign country is not always an easy route.
The challenge was to develop a Mexican inspired branding that felt true to its origins but felt welcoming at the same time.
the solution
Inspired by Mexico’s colorful colonial features, we’ve created a brand identity that stands out due to its unique approach to details.
The logo presents a disruptive design reminiscent of the type of lettering found in old Mexican cantinas, with a symmetric touch that enhances its layout.
The architecture for this project fuses both modern and classic Mexican ends. We’ve created a space that feels Mexican without clichés. As a strategic eye-catching device, we started by developing an awning. This simple detail allowed the restaurant to be more visible on the highway.
The exterior facade is complemented with pergolas that connect it with textured arched walls, inspired by the iconic constructions of Barragán and Legorreta. As for the color palette, a more solid variety was selected with the traditional Mexican pink as a foundation. — (A)
