Branding Process 04

Prospero constitutes a new brand of 100% Mexican tequila. 

One of the main brand requirements consisted on the ability to claim advantage of a compact and very specific bottle area. The brand also required the ability to communicate, in a modern language, a distinctive and old image while remaining functional in conjunction with other brand components. 

Prospero constitutes a new brand of 100% Mexican tequila. 

The wordmark was created from scratch, evolving from hand-drawn sketches. The work concluded with an iconic logo that heightens the classic image sought for the brand.

The inspiration for this project derives from the unconventional labels of old liquor bottles, also known as "bitters", which were widely consumed during the 19th century. 

The typographic inline was conceived from the study of highly detailed typographies commonly found in posters and advertising pieces from the time of the European Industrial Revolution.
